The Ute Indian Museum rests on the 8.65-acre original home of famous Ute Indian Chief Ouray. The museum is located south of the city on Chipeta Road, named after Chief Ouray's wife Chipeta. Offering one of most complete collections of Ute Indian artifacts, the museum is also the final resting place for the remains of Chipeta.
Open Nov. to Dec. Mon. - Sat. 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; Jan. to May Tues. - Sat. 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.; May to Oct. 9:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.; Sun. 11:00 a.m. - 4:30 p.m.
Adults $3; Seniors (65+) $2.50; Children (6-16) $1.50; Children 6 and under are Free
